This application simulates the dynamics of electrical charges and currents in an RLC circuit.

If you're on a mobile device, use the usual touchscreen gestures:

• With one finger, touch the electrical components to change the values ​​of the voltage source, capacitor C, resistor R and inductor I. To To see the graphs of charges or currents as a function of time, click on the button.

Buttons:

• Starts or pauses the simulation.
• Restarts the simulation.
• Shows the circuit energies.
• Shows the values ​​of charge q and current i, and time t.
• : Accesses other simulator settings.

The dynamics of the RLC circuit is based on the equation derived from the mesh law:

$ L\ddot{q} + R\dot{q} + \dfrac{q}{C} = V_0\cos(\omega t) $

where

• $L$: inductance of the inductor
• $R$: resistor resistance
• $C$: capacitor capacitance
• $V_0$: voltage source amplitude
• $\omega$: voltage source oscillation frequency

$\omega$ = 0 in the version for mobile devices, that is, $V(t)$ is always a DC voltage source.

The ODE is solved by the fourth order Runge-Kutta method.
